For Minnesota residents, PSEO (Postsecondary Education Options) makes a great bridge from high school to college. Students in 11th and 12th grade can take courses from a college or university, with NO costs for tuition or books, with free support services as needed. The courses are selected so that the credit can be applied both for high school requirements and for college credit.
Here is a quick summary of the most-asked questions we hear about PSEO...
Participating in a PSEO program can significantly reduce total education costs by earning these credits for free, and shorten their time in college as well. Many students can start out their official college career as a sophomore or junior, by applying these credits to entry-level or general studies.
The University of Northwestern has offered PSEO classes for over 20 years and is the largest private university provider of PSEO courses in the state. Students can choose from taking courses online, on campus, or through our partner high schools*. We offer more than 50 online courses, taught by our faculty of committed Christ followers. On campus students join our traditional community and have a much broader selection of courses to choose from.
