Lilly Guth is a 2016 graduate of the University of Northwestern-St. Paul where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Music (piano emphasis) and Bible with a minor in Literature. She first started piano lessons when she was seven and studied for 15 years with Dr. Timothy Schmidt, Dr. Kristin Taylor, and more recently with Dr. Richard Lange and Dr. Paul Wirth. Lilly has been an accompanist for voice students as well as choirs and has also been a freelance musician for weddings. While in college, Lilly was an active participant in the Northwestern Choir, Chamber Singers, and the piano department. She participated in piano tours for 3 years to various Midwestern states and the 2014 NW Choir tour to Prague, Czech Republic and Budapest, Hungary. Some of her piano highlights were participating in Northwestern’s Concerto/Aria competition for 2 years and organizing and performing a senior piano recital. She enjoys watching children overcome challenges and encourages them to press on towards their musical goals. Lilly loves teaching piano to children because she believes this skill is an important foundation for many other musical instruments and encourages fine motor skills, focus, and discipline as well as creates a joyful experience.
