“May the God of Hope fill you with all Joy and Peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with Hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Erica Joy Whitson has been teaching at Northwestern since the fall of 2010. She teaches a Content Area Reading class and Middle School Foundations class, as well as supervising method & student teaching candidates. Prior to Northwestern, Erica taught 8th grade English at Centennial Middle School and absolutely loved her 8 years of teaching middle school students. In fact, she loved it so much she is still involved in a theater club at Centennial. Adding a license in reading was a spur of the moment decision when enrolled in Hamline’s master’s program, but one of the best decisions she made in her education. Erica learned so much and became passionate about helping students in their literacy journey.

When Erica is not working, she is taking care of 4 lovely children, 1 smart husband, and 1 fluffy dog.
