The Interdisciplinary Studies Department provides the freedom and guidance for students to achieve their specific goals. The application process is designed to help students define their goals and work with faculty to craft an individualized academic plan.
- Request the “Expression of Interest” form from Lynae Wingate, office coordinator. Return the Expression of Interest form to her.
- Interview with Feng-Ling Margaret Johnson, chair of the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies.
- Work with academic advisors to create a program of study to meet your academic goals.
- Submit your program of study for approval by the advisory committee. You can submit your application and proposal for an Interdisciplinary Studies major as soon as you have a Northwestern GPA.
