Business at Northwestern

At Northwestern, the business program has a greater purpose than simply preparing students for commercial success. Our students learn how to use business as a tool to impact the world, lead change, and ultimately live the Gospel in places that are normally out of reach to conventional ministry. This purpose is what motivates us to the highest level of integrity, leadership, and business skill.

3 Reasons to Pursue your Business Degree at Northwestern

We equip students to be God-honoring leaders in business and in life. Our fully integrated business curriculum prepares our graduates to apply their talents within their field and be an influence for Jesus Christ.

  • Gain more than business savvy. Here, you'll not only get a business degree, you'll also develop the character and leadership qualities you'll need to thrive in business by integrating biblical principles and ethics in all courses.
  • Accelerate your path to internships and jobs. Connect with corporations in the Twin Cities—Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurial start-ups, and nonprofits—in your standard coursework. The connections of our professors and alumni mean regular visits to local firms to gain a variety of up-close-and-personal business experiences and learn from their business leaders.
  • Reputation makes a difference. Our School of Business has a strong reputation for excellence among top corporations—employers consistently rate our students highly and each year several of our business majors are offered positions before graduation.

Practical Experience

Develop a biblically-based approach to business through the guidance of professors who are practitioners in the field.  Engage with real-world-application studies that expose you o the challenges you'll face outside of the university walls.  Our graduates have the practical skills to contribute immediately.

Every business, church, or nonprofit organization needs to plan its financial future, raise funds and control costs, so all Northwestern business programs include a rigorous quantitative foundation in statistics, accounting and financial principles. Mathematics is the foundation of the curriculum.
